Library, Learning Support and Cultural Services aims to share and promote Royal Holloway’s scholarship, art and cultural offer, for wider social benefit, including to students and academics based in areas affected by conflict, or relocated to safety in the United Kingdom.
- Due to licensing agreements with commercial publishers, we are unable to provide access to subscription-based resources for individuals who are not affiliated with the University. However, in keeping with our commitment to openness - as reflected in our University Values and our Statement on Open Research - we strive to make our own academic outputs as freely accessible as possible.
- A wide range of articles, book chapters and other scholarly outputs from Royal Holloway can be accessed via the research portal. Use the Open Access filter on the left-hand side menu to limit your search to open access content only.
- We maintain a list of online resources, including many that are open access or freely available. These resources are marked with a green open padlock icon to indicate their free accessibility.
- If you are an academic or student scholar based in the UK under schemes such as that provided by the Council for Academics at Risk (CARA), our reference access to library spaces, print collections and online enquiry service are available to you as an external user.
