Located within the Founder’s Building, our famous Picture Gallery is home to some of the finest Victorian art the country has to offer and provides a stunning space for your wedding breakfast. The Picture Gallery is located adjacent to our beautiful quadrangles, providing you with all day access to this idyllic space – the perfect setting for drinks receptions and photographs.
Many of our couples choose to combine a formal banquet in the Picture Gallery with the evening reception facilities offered in either the Crossland Suite or Founder’s Dining Hall.
Classic, elegant and spacious, Founder’s Dining Hall is a wonderful wedding breakfast and reception venue, with plenty of space for a DJ and dance floor. The vast, beautiful blue high ceilings with their ornate white fixtures and subtle décor provide the perfect backdrop on which to create a unique sense of occasion. Located between the north and south quadrangles, the Dining Hall offers you and your guests impressive views on all sides.
A more contemporary space in our traditional venue, is our Crossland Suite, a fantastic space for couples looking for a more intimate celebration with a modern feel, within the glorious Victorian architecture that Royal Holloway has to offer.
The Crossland Suite is most frequently used as an evening reception venue in conjunction with wedding breakfasts hosted in the Picture Gallery. It has its own bar and dance floor and is conveniently located next to our south quad.
Housed in the spectacular Founder’s Building and completed in 1886, our beautiful non-denominational gilded chapel includes bas-reliefs by Ceccardo Fucigna and a fine three-manual organ. The amazing acoustics in the chapel will wow your guests and create a unique sense of occasion.
Currently, only alumni, current students, staff and children of current long-standing staff may hold their wedding ceremony in the chapel. Please contact the chaplaincy for details of whether we can accommodate your wedding date.
