Our campus is located in Surrey, in the South East of England, just outside the M25. We're a stones throw from the attractive village of Englefield Green and a ten-minute walk from the town of Egham.

The nearby towns of Staines, Windsor, Richmond and Kingston provide shopping, eating out, theatre and cinema experiences while the nearby parklands of Windsor Great Park and Virginia Water offer the space to unwind.

We're in the top 10 for university safety in the UK (unifresher.co.uk, 2023) and have the measures in place to ensure all students feel safe. If they don't, then our 24-7 security team is on call to help.

Many of our students choose to commute to Royal Holloway, so if your student decides to live at home, they won't be alone. 

Students make new friends throughout their university life, not just in halls. They may meet fellow students with similar interests on their course, in one of our societies or clubs, or even a fellow commuter. Our Student Lounge is a great place to hang out and meet other students. The Students' Union and Commuter Students Community also host activities to meet students in a similar position.

Living on a budget and balancing finances while studying can be challenging but our Finance team is on hand with practical advice and tips as well as support to find part-time work.

Our team is dedicated to supporting disability or neurodiversity needs. We can help with exam arrangements, academic and library support, diagnostic assessments and accessing disabled students' allowance (DSA) as well as making any other reasonable adjustments they require while they're with us.

Our academic skills team will help your student to navigate the academic transition from school or college to university with a range of support from day one. They’ll host on-boarding activities and workshops as well as 1-2-1 advice on essay writing, numeracy and other academic basics. Your student will also be assigned a personal tutor from their academic department who will help ensure they’re on track.
