Support for researchers

Royal Holloway University provides an extensive range of support services for researchers (academics and postgraduate students) at all career stages.

Thanks to our dedicated people, varied training, and world-leading facilities, we help researchers make a difference in the world.

We prioritise health and wellbeing

Health and Wellbeing relates to all aspects of working life, from the quality and safety of our physical environment, to how we feel about work. Support available to colleagues includes our Employee Wellbeing Programme (EWP), access to the Mental Health Support Services delivered by Remploy, and flexible working policies.

Proud of our diversity

We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring that all colleagues, students and visitors experience a supportive, respectful environment, free from discrimination or harassment. This commitment is driven by our proactive EDI work, led by our Vice Deans for Equality and Diversity and supported by university-wide and departmental networks, including:

  • Black and Global Majority
  • LGBT+
  • Disability and Mental Health
  • Women’s Network
  • Parents and Carers
  • Menopause and Perimenopause
