Andreev bound states in vortices and interfaces in superfluid helium-3 and their possible experimental signatures

Andreev bound states are ubiquitous in superconducting systems and superfluid helium-3. They appear in result of multiple Andreev reflections at different topological defects and interfaces. Especially interesting are the cases when the spectrum of such states contains topologically protected zero-energy modes and the experimental evidences of such states are in large demand. In this talk I discuss how zero-energy modes appear in superfluid helium-3 under different conditions, when they are topologically protected and whether it is possible to detect them using NMR techniques. I will discuss the following systems. 1) Bound states on non-singular vortices in 3He-B and their influence on the rotational dynamics of non-axisymmetric vortices. 2) Fermi arcs on domain walls in the A phase and AB interfaces. 3) Surface Dirac cone in the B phase and its influence on the magnetic susceptibility. I will also discuss possible mechanisms of the spin waves relaxation near the free surface of 3He-B.
