With support from the Alumni Engagement Team at Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, the Bedford Society circulates a termly e-newsletter to Bedfordians who are signed up to receive emails.
If you do not currently receive the Bedford Society newsletter and event invitations, please update your details with the College and indicate that you are happy to receive emails.

The Newsletter has a high opening rate and click rate on the articles but we would like to make it even more relevant to you. We would really welcome your comments so please respond by sending an email to betty.hales51@gmail.com.
The memories section is popular but we are sure that many more of you have interesting memories of your time at Bedford and/or what you did with your degree and life. Would you be prepared to write something? It doesn’t have to be a long piece. Just a paragraph or two that others may find interesting, but longer pieces are also welcome.
If you’re not keen on writing but have an interesting story to tell please email as above and request a phone call. A committee member or other alumni volunteer will ring you, listen to your story and write it up for you. Or you could send us a recorded message by email, which we can transcribe. Also, let us know if you might be interested in writing up other alumni’s stories. This could be a great way of making a contribution if you are unable to get out much.
To date our articles have always had a Bedford theme but it may be of interest to members if we were to broaden the brief a little. We have many interests in common, particularly as we age. We could use the newsletter to share topics of interest and invite comments from others. Perhaps you have taken up a new hobby in retirement, travelled somewhere interesting or have reflections on aspects of your life and/or career. Please get in touch, particularly if you have an article within you that you can’t wait to share.
