NSS 2025

Average positive satisfaction for students at Royal Holloway has increased in the latest NSS, reflecting continued efforts to enhance the student experience.

The University’s overall satisfaction rating rose by 2.1 percentage points from the previous year to 82.9%.

Over the last few years, Royal Holloway’s performance across key NSS themes has continued to improve.

The 2025 results position the University as performing above the sector median in areas including organisation and management, academic support, and student voice. Royal Holloway's scores position 17 of our subjects in the top 20; eight of which are within the top ten.*

Professor Emma Mayhew, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education and Student Experience) commented: “Our NSS success is a testament to the dedication of academic and professional services colleagues working incredibly hard to deliver excellence in our provision.

"This is recognised by everyone at the University, and is enormously appreciated.

"Looking ahead, we remain focussed on building on this momentum. We will continue to listen, adapt and innovate to ensure our University remains a place where every student can flourish.”

The NSS is managed by the Office for Students. It gathers and shares students’ opinions on the quality of their courses which helps to inform prospective students’ choices, help universities to improve the student experience, and support public accountability.
