Jessica is a Royal Holloway alumni, graduating in 1997 with a BA (Hons) in Modern History, Economic History and Politics. Jessica was the first person in her family to study A-Levels and go on to university.
Jessica was Called to the Bar in 2000 and has built a practice as a barrister specialising in family law (she practices in the name of Jessica Lee). She has also been a Member of Parliament and was elected in 2010 for the constituency of Erewash.
Outside of her legal and political work, Jessica has always enjoyed contributing to help the next generation and she has served as a Trustee for a national Children’s charity. In 2018 Jessica was elected a Bencher of The Hon Society of the Middle Temple, and regularly undertakes teaching, mentoring and training for the law students.
